What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment?
Before and after PRP to full face. Notice improvement of skin texture and quality and fine lines and wrinkles.
PRP is an autologus blood-derived product that may improve wound healing, tissue graft take, and enhance stem cell activity. The platelets release growth factors that stimulate stem cells and aid in wound healing.
How is PRP Made?
Similar to a blood test at a doctor’s office, blood is drawn from your vein in the same manner. The blood is then centrifuged to separate the concentrated platelets. The concentrated platelets are drawn up with some plasma from the centrifuged blood.
How is PRP Used?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) may be used alone or in conjunction with the Stem Lift® procedure. PRP may be injected into the targeted tissues with a needle or with a blunt cannula. The PRP may be added to the stem cells and the fat for injection as a booster.
The Benefit of Combining PRP with the Stem Cell Lift®
The growth factors produced by the platelets help induce and speed-up wound healing. They also help stimulate stem cell activity and may enhance the results of the Stem Cell Lift® procedure by reducing inflammation, improving cell survival and healing time.
